I've decided this is my year to really take care of myself. One of the ways I am finally doing this is by going to a Dermatologist! I want to start getting facials regularly and get a professional peel!

What really got me to finally book an appointment with a dermatologist was a bump that formed on my forehead about a year or two ago. I've gone to my Dr a couple of times to get it frozen off but each time it grows back bigger. I have other little bumps on my forehead and temples that just won't go away. I found out these bumps are called sebaceous hyperplasias and can easily be cauterized by a dermatologist. For $150 you can have 15 removed and its so worth!

Also my dermatologist recommended that I change up my skincare routine because I am susceptible to getting these. She recommended that I add a glycolic acid cleanser, glycolic acid toner, retinol serum at night and of course a really good sunscreen because all those products can make your skin extra sensitive to the sun. So I thought I would share my current routine just in case it can help someone.

Morning Routine
Glycolix Cleanser 10%
Mario Badescu Glycolic Acid Toner
LimeLife by Alcone Sotoks Serum
LimeLife by Alcone Calm Balm (normal to oily skin) or LimeLife by Alcone Skin Therapist (dry to normal skin)
EltaMD Sunscreen

Evening Routine
LimeLife by Alcone Dream Clean Cleanser (Normal to Oily skin) or LimeLife by Alcone Quench Cleanse (Dry to Normal skin)
Replenix Retinol Smoothing Serum
LimeLife by Alcone Sotoks Serum
LimeLife by Alcone Skin Therapist

I also trade off on LimeLife by Alcone's Skin Polish (exfoliating and hydrating) and Masque of Zen (detoxing) throughout the week! When I feel really dry I will use the Must Dew Face Oil to add extra hydration. I am very happy with my skin it's definitely brighter and tighter! Now on to my next step scheduling a facial and a chemical peel!
